If you area speaking of the white stone building next to Barnes & Noble on the 1800 Block of Walnut, that facade will be incorporated into the 10 Rittenhouse condo highrise project.

Do you mean the space right next to the BCBG building, the future 1919 Market building at the corner of 20th & Market? Last I heard, they are still planning to construct a building there. I have a cubicle with a bird's-eye view of that spot, and there is occasional activity out there. My guess is that they are in the design phase right now.

One thing I haven't figured out ... why did they put the construction trailer in the exact middle of the site? It seems to me that, when it comes time to dig the big-ass hole that will undoubtedly be necessary for the foundation of a building that size, it might be nice to have the trailer situated in a place other than where that big-ass hole is going to be dug. Just a thought.

I have been waiting to see if someone would figure out what you are talking about but so far no idea. BCBG? Empty white h-rise at 18th and Walnut? Give us another clue please.

Isn't BCBG the high-end clothing company that was going to have a store in--I think it was the old Wawa Express storefront at 16th & Walnut?

The old Wawa Express is now a Cole-Haan shoe store.

BCBG Max Azaria, I believe, is going in the old Florsheim shoe store space on the north side of Walnut.

He's referring to the fomer Florsheim palce at 16th and Walnut (NW corner) which has a sign saying that BCBG Max Azria is "coming soon" and has BCBG awnings. HOwever, the signs ahve been there since maybe March and there's been zero activity. I'm not sure what's going on there. My guess is that L&I is holding them up.

As for the "white building", he's referrign to 1845 Walnut - the 1960's-70's era high rise that's next to the old Rittenhouse Club.

No the white building I am talking about is the one on the northeast corner of 18th and walnut. The one with ben+jerrys and lagos, right next to where the h&m is going. The building is being restored but it seems to be empty as well, I am just wondering if anyone knows if its being turned in to condos or something.

I assumed you meant the Blue Cross-Blue Shield building, which now that I think about it would be BCBS, not BCBG. Ignore my previous post.

Save for one or two vacated storefronts, I had no idea the building (One Rittenhouse) is empty. They are cleaning the facade. Are the apartments no longer occupied?
