There has been a nice, friendly, sweet orange & white cat hanging around our neighborhood lately. He has been here for about two weeks, so I can't imagine that he's lost -- more like abandoned.

He's an orange and white neutered male cat who is very friendly and affectionate. He has been living on Hutchinson between Waverly and Lombard, sometimes under a car and sometimes in the Waverly/Hutchinson gardens.

None of the neighbors can take him either due to existing cats, or allergies, or whatever. One has been feeding him & watching out for him, which we appreciate but which is also causing flies, etc.

We don't want to take him to a shelter, but some of the neighbors are [understandably] getting fed up with this situation, and I fear they might do something drastic. One of the neighbors is moving from an apartment that doesn't allow pets to a house in South Philadelphia, and she said she would take him if no one does by the end of the month. I don't know if this little guy (or some of the neighbors) are going to make it until then, though.

Soooooo..... if you want to adopt a really sweet cat, please send me a private message, and I will put you in touch with the neighbor who has been feeding him. Thanks.

Try calling PALS (Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society). They work with cats just like this. They'll provide boarding and after he checks out medically and they assess his personality they'll try to find a good home. Unfortunately I don't have their phone number.
