Self defense always has been and always will be our only means of protection. The purpose of police is to investigate crime after it is commited. It's not realistic to expect them to be everywhere at all times to protect us. That's the personal responsibility of everyone. And that's why I support legal and responsible concealed carry.

This thread started out saying it feels like it is open season for robbers. We'd all be much better off if the robbers started to fear that it was open season on them.
