Default Suggestions for nice, baby-friendly restaurants in Rittenhouse?

I have some clients visiting next week, including one single mom who is bringing her 1.5 year-old baby. (The baby will have a sitter during the day.)

In all, there will be 5 of us plus the baby for dinner. I would like to take the clients out to a nice dinner, and I'm looking for a restaurant that won't be aggravated by a well-behaved child.

Since I'd rather not deal with a cab situation, walking distance of the office (18th and Market) is probably best. I'm hoping to go somewhere a little nicer than Marathon or a chain.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Best bet is probably an earlier dinner if you want someplace more sophisticated than Marathon.

I think Loie off 19th and Walnut is a decent bet. We have been there with our 1 1/2 year old and felt comfortable. Pietro's on 18th and Walnut is family friendly and has a nice ambience. Pickings are slim in Rittenhouse though.

Rittenhouse is tough. I would say devon would be a good bet. The place is very large and they have more private sections of the restaurant that might be able to put you in. The restaurant is nice inside, but I think the food isn't that great.

I'd say pietro's pizza. pizza is awesome and it's a large space. they also have pasta, salads, etc for those who don't want the pizza (although that's their best dish). 17xx walnut

Unless it is too casual for you, Pietro's is definitely the best place (and I can say that as I was there with an out-of-town client and my young daughter on Monday night).

Continental Midtown is another good choice (but call ahead, because you'll need one of the larger tables on the first floor) which I've done with out-of-town business associates and kids.

I'll third Pietro's. Especially if you go for an early dinner, say 5:30/6:30. From my experience it won't be that busy.

I wouldn't feed Pietro's food to a dog. And the service is atrocious.

Continental is first come first serve, only large parties of 12 or more can get reservations. FYI

I can't think of any thing else in that area that fits your needs, I'd go with Pietro's.

I'll add in Bleu. they have highchairs and it more upscale than Pietros. also the Marathon on the Square (19th and Spruce) is nicer than the other Marathons. If you're willing to go east, El Vez is very kid friendly and can be good for some business meals. As with Jones.

A lot depends on whether the kid is used to eating out. for one that isn't used to it, I'd go lower end. If they go all the time at home, El Vez or Bleu could could work.
