I once went in there and not only was the cashier busy socializing with the one enxt to her but she kept on snapping at me because I put my credit card through the reader before it was ready. A simple "please wait until I'm finished" would have been fine. Instead she yelled "DON'T DO THAT!" and then turned back to telling the cashier next to her about the hot date she was on the night before. I filled out an on-line complaint on the Rite Aid site - never heard back.

I had a bad experience at that Rite Aid, too, about 18 months ago: There was one woman behind the counter and a LONG line. As I came to the front of the line, a woman who worked at the Rite Aid but wasn't on duty cut in front of me, grabbed a candy bar from the rack, and started bs'ing with the middle-aged woman who was working! "Can you put this on my tab, i'll pay it tomorrow, etc etc". FOR LIKE 2 MINUTES! Nothing but BS'ing back and forth! I finally said "Can you do this LATER?". The girl who was off duty gave me a dirty look and the woman who was working started giving me crap! Saying I didn't need to treat them like children, etc etc.
It's dissappointing to see that it hasn't changed much.
