Last I heard the garage is going up on that side. I don't remember how many stories, but I guess it will cover the part that they have not cleaned up.

Well, it's not exactly a demolition, but the owners of Six Penn Center (1701 Market St.) converted several floors of its parking garage section into offices when Morgan Lewis wanted to expand its office space in the building.

The 20-story building has a five-story parking garage that can accommodate 194 vehicles. At one point, the building was entirely office, but a portion of it was carved out for parking.

Since the parking deck was once office space, the garage floors can be converted back into office space to allow Morgan Lewis to expand if necessary. In fact, the firm exercised that option in 2001 transforming a couple of garage floors into 44,000 square feet of new space.

I belive the "23 condos" are a converted parking garage.

It looks a lot better now that they have painted/refinished the south side. The south side windows should be going in any day now. Shame, cause it will block my river views once they are in
