Click link. It seems as if they are painting over the brick. I would assume that is a primer up there now, but nonetheless the brick is covered. Thoughts?
Looks like another thread has some photos of the Big Ugly Building.

I've seen 2200 Arch from the inside....it's going to be amazingly beautiful. The structure itself is massive and the city views from the inside are something to see.

The windows areas are huge and even the view from the street will be nice. I think they secured a large supermarket retailer for the ground floor, as well. Can't beat that convenience!

The tenants better enjoy those great views while they have them, it's just a matter of time before a bigger condo will rise up next to it blocking the views and leaving the tenants of 2200 Arch with a view of a glass wall.

Yes, the river and University City views for 2200 Arch are going to be temporary. This spring they will begin landscaping Schuylkill River Park and possibly adding a dock for rowing right in that general area. Whoever owns that parking lot to the west of the 2200 Arch condo is sitting pretty. I can see 1 or 2 highrise condos rising on that lot within the next 3 or 4 years.

Isn't there also a rumor of the developers of the St. James looking to put a condo tower at 21st and Market?

I went on a broker tour of the St James and I must say that the views are absolutely amazing from every side of the building. But the prices...I think Citi-Habitats (the NYC developer) really went overboard there - 4G's for a lower floor 2 BR is just way too much. They likely would have been better of making condos instead of rentals.

As far as 2200 Arch goes, it's a great project that I wish I had gotten into earlier on. Even from the 4th floor (which was the only one partitioned out at the time I saw it), there very cool views of the city - almost the kind of view that one might have from taking one of the El trains in Chicago.
