Hello! My husband, myself and our 2 dogs and 1 cat have just moved to Elkins Park, PA. We had the incredible fortune of having a mobile vet where we used to live. However, she doesn't travel here. I'll give a brief plug, Dr. Karen Collins the Home Pet Doctor serving Central Bucks is absolutely amazing, and if she had an office, I'd pack my brood into the car and take them to see her. Anyway, I'm going to have to get everyone checked up soon, and I'd rather not have to take them all to a vets office, of course I will if I can't find a mobile vet. Does anyone know of a good travelling vet in the Jenkintown/Cheltenham area? It'd be much appreciated. Also, if no travelling vet, just a good vet recommendation would be a big help. The lady that lived here before wasn't crazy about the vet they had taken their dog to see. Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind going into the city (Port Richmond,) you should check out Pet Health Center 215-739-6401. They are wonderful and their fees are reasonable. The also have evening and Saturday morning hours. As I discovered from chatting with people in the waiting room over the years, people from all over the city and the surrounding counties bring their pets there. I live in NE Philadelphia and have been taking my pets there for over 16 years now. I have also had several friends and neighbors who took their pets to Vets in the burbs who now go to Pet Health Center and they are very satisfied with the care. They also couldn't believe how much lower the fees were compared to what they were paying in the suburbs.

No, I don't mind travelling for great service. I've got family in PR, so I'm familiar with the area- I will give the vet a call. Thank you!
