Can anyone recommend a pediatrician in the Glenside Area?

We go to Abington Pediatrics on Old York Road across from the Abington Library. I LOVE Drs. Higgins and Sandrock. With the exception of one doctor, I've been pleased with the whole practice. It's a big practice though, but it hasn't been too much of a problem or issue for us in the 2+ years we've been with them.

There are previous threads on this but they may say Jenkintown/Elkins Park.

My wife is expecting, and we just moved into Glenside. So we have been looking around at pediatricians.

We settled on Abington Pediatrics after meeting with them last week. They have something like six doctors on staff. They have a dedicated call-in time every morning where you can reach a doctor by phone. And they take appointment, referral, and prescription refill requests through their web site. We only met with Dr. Hutton. She was very helpful. http://www.abingtonpeds.com/

A coworker recommended Kids First in Flourtown. We didn't check them out because we had already settled on Abington.

We use Pediatric Care Group in Jenkintown and have been very happy there. All 3 docs are really nice and thorough, they have great hours, and when you call with questions, you get a call back (quickly) from an actual doctor, not a nurse. Also, you don't always have to call first thing to get a sick appt, that's the worst when you decide at 2PM that you really need to get an illness looked at and can't get in!

I'll second this recommendation...we use them for my 11 year old and my six month old. My only issue (a personal one) is their over-reliance on antibiotics for my 6 month old son. Three course in the past three months when his ears show the SLIGHTEST hint of an infection. Don't be afraid to question the need for ntibiotics.
