The original Gates to Camp William Penn in La Mott, Civil War training camp for 10000 to 11000 colored troops in Cheltenham Township, will be open on June 1st for a book signing event from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. The book, entitled "Camp William Penn" is authored by Donald Scott, Sr., a history columnist for the Journal-Register Co. and depicts an important part of American history and the Civil War.
