I can't believe there's an Apple store in this mall.
Now, I have seen some uglier malls. Cherry Hill doesn't feel so high end when you park in the Macy's part of the lot and walk inside. I almost thought for a while I was in.... THE GALLERY ![]() I know it's an old mall though, so I'll keep my reservations and just convince myself (like Cherry Hillians) that it's fab and the bees knees and it's SOO much better than Philly. ![]() Quote:

The running topic should keep everyone updated if they are interested. I found this site a while back when I was looking at mall design pictures, but didn't know there was a discussion going on. Im just a couple of posts into it and it appears that Abercrombie wants all 5 of their stores in the mall. I had no idea they had 5. |

The Ardmore store is better than the KOP store. Take the R5, get off at Ardmore. Suburban Square is right there on your right.

EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports) recently opened in Moorestown Mall, BTW. Haven't yet been in there to check it out. They're usually in strip malls, so it should be interesting to see how they do. There's so many stores *around* Moorestown mall now that I sometimes go there.
I recently tried the nearby Produce Junction and liked it, but it appears to have been razed as of last week. |

There's a place already: Burlington Center Mall, Burlington NJ
http://www.shopatburlington.com/ I'd like to find out the rent per sq.ft of enclosed inline space of Burlington Center to CH Mall. Last edited by chris12 : 05-28-2008 at 08:44 PM. |

RE: Worldwide Floors
Went to the mall today and saw in that plaza that the Worldwide Floors building will become The Sports Authority. New store for the area. Sports Authority used to have a store in Maple Shade, a freestanding store across Lowe's Hardware and Bally Total Fitness, but then they moved 6 miles east to a huge big box center (Centerton Sq.) in Mt.Laurel. Now they are serving the ppl they lost to the west of that store by opening in Cherry Hill. That Maple Shade former store is still empty. I think it'd make sense if Diamond Furniture moved there. Read below. Haddonfield Rd. is currently seeing a great boom, between the racetrack and the mall. Any old underperforming plaza or vacant site is being redeveloped. A Laz-Boy store which was on Route 38 is moving to Haddonfield Rd. across the future Nordstrom. Usually you don't see a store moving from being off a major state highway to a less traveled road (though Haddonfield Rd is getting quite big and has its share of traffic). Now, the owner of the Plaza at Cherry Hill really needs to redo that center; and the poor Garden State Pavilions which lost Home Depot and Old Navy needs to be redone as well. Both have 40% vacancies or so, while the surrounding areas are booming. The Plaza has an mish mesh of tenants at the moment and is quite old. Most of those stores could move to other locations somewhere in Cherry Hill, or Moorestown. The center is actually in a great location, but the tenants, layout and oldness of the center really puts its back. Has SAM's Club shown any interest in Cherry Hill? I'm thinking for the vacant Home Depot store. The plazas are somewhat awkward in layout, but a new tenant mix and/or mixed-use could put them back on the map. They could do transit orient development at the Cherry Hill Route 70 ShopRite (since the NJ Transit A.C. Line is right there), if ShopRite moved elsewhere. I'm hoping that with ShopRite now having a store on Brace Rd. (former Stop & Shop) which covers Cherry Hill west well, that they can relocate the Cherry Hill Route 70 store (which really services folks from Pennsauken) to either Route 38 (at the Plaza maybe), or the former Hoyts Cinema, which has been vacant for what 10 years or so now, to service Pennsauken. The JCPenney in the Cherry Hill Mall is still old, and is the worn out part of the outfit. Wish they could move to Moorestown Mall or redevelop the Penneys at Cherry Hill, so its brighter and newer (e.g. the Deptford Mall JCPenney is relatively new, and so does the King of Prussia mall one feel).
