Default Bars n Pub n Restaurants near Villanva U. - QUICK TURNAROUND

My buddy and I are looking for somewhere to grab a drink and maybe something to eat after work around happy hour time as close to Villanova U.as possible.

Doesn't need to be high end, just not a grease shack and no puke on the floors.

In general I like pubby type places - like Fergie's and similar bars. But something a bit more eclectic would work too.

thanks.

Gullifty's has good beer. There's also the Wayne Tavern not too far away. Damn, there's a bar across the street form what used to be the Brick Bar that might fit your description well but I can't remember the name of it. It's on conestoga rd.

The bar you are thinking of on Conestoga road is Wild Onion. It gets a lot of college crowd in it. But during the week its not bad, and they have good specials for monday night football.

The Wayne Tavern is not the wayne tavern anymore, its called the Great American Pub or something like that, it is a good happy hour bar, it is a block off lancaster ave towards the train station in downtown wayne, I forget the name of the street.

Thanks. It was when they shut the wayne tavern down that I felt it was time to go from the hood. I miss those 2.50 pints of yards.

Yeah, the wayne tavern was definately better than what it is now. Or maybe its just because I went to college in the area, and that was where we used to go, because it was cheap and close.

no. the Great American Pub sucks. It's expensive, the beer selection is worse, and it's friggin loud. in the old tavern you could even talk to the girl you were trying to pick up. it used to be that the main line was home so some very middle class families and establishments but that's changing now.
