Default Burbanites - do the philly overnight thing

Just wanted to comment on the great time my wife and I had this weekend in center city. We participated in the Philly overnight package where you stay one night at regular price and get the 2nd night free. It includes free parking at the hotel, coupons and gift certs for restaurants, and bars around the city. We stayed at the Westin 17th and market. Beautiful room and great service. When we checked in and got to our room we were happy to find complementary tickets to the constitution center and gift certs to starbucks. After checking in we went to grab a bite at Fork. I believe it's in olde city near 3rd street. One word, fabulous, I had the pan-seared halibut with mustard sauce served with veggies and sweet mash potatoes...yum, yum. We topped it off with a cappuccino and a warm vanilla fruit tart. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Afterwards we strolled around a bit checking out the places we might want to come back to soon. All in all it was a great time. It me a chance to experience city life, if only for a weekend, People were friendly and accommodating. It was nice to know that on Sunday, when we left, we only had a 30 minute train back out to bucks county as opposed to hours if we were coming back from the shore NC or NY. So burbies if you ever want a quick little get-a-way to recharge and chance to get to know you city again I highly recommend Philly over night

cool, How did you you like the heavenly shower.

We were able to take a look at one of the rooms at Sofatel(I'm sure I spelled that wrong)while we were in town; . Very contemporary furnishings, larger bathroom. We'll be staying there next time

Mona -

You guys coming up this weekend.

Still haven't decided whether to go see Hoos play Temple. Nice thing about Temple football is that you don't have to plan ahead.

Probably the only way I'll get to see the Linc.
