Havertown is Still a Wonderful Place!
I was raised in Havertown and recently moved after spending the majority of my life there. It's a charming and engaging town with a palpable sense of community. The library is phenomenal, there is a farmer's market once per week, a nice yoga studio, pretty outdoor spaces, a variety of neighborhoods, and nearby shopping. Havertown is centrally located, with an easy commute into the city, and it's close to 476, with Routes 1 and 3 running right through it. I went to parochial school (there are a bunch in this town, including Annunciation BVM, Saint Denis, and Sacred Heart), and while yes, drugs are certainly available at Haverford High School and Middle School, they were available at my parochial high school as well. Crime is low and one of my favorite things about Havertown was the safety and ability to walk wherever you'd like within the community. I don't know many blue-collar workers to be honest, I would say that most adults who I have encountered and spoken with in Havertown have college degrees and work corresponding jobs. It's a beautiful, simple place, and I wish that more communities were like Havertown.
