I have to admit that I have never had a bad viewing experience at the Neshaminy theater. I actually rather like the setup, since there's a bar/restaurant directly opposite the entrance. You can get some food, get your buzz on and them stumble across and see your movie. Of course, that's about the only thing that place is good for. |

It's the lifestyle centers now that are truly more a result of sprawl issue. For example, in Marlton NJ, there is the Marlton Square which has a number of stores like GAP, Bath & Body Works, Pottery Barn but further down on 73 there is The Promenade at Sagemore which has Banana Republic, Apple Store, and a dozen or so other stores. Borders is across the street and REI is across the street but in another plaza. And further down on 73 is a plaza with Old Navy. To get to all these plazas, you need a car, and often its not an easy left. Jersey has jughandles. All the plazas have different owners. Atleast with say the Plymouth Meeting Mall, you have a lot of things in one place. |

Plymouth Meeting Mall isn't a great mall either right now but with the additions of PF Changs, California Pizza Kitchen, Redstone Grill, Benihana, and Fat Burger to the outside, the interior will start to see some new imporovements as well. A new centralized elevator, dancing water fountains, lights shows, and a new food court. There is also a Dave and Busters and a Krazy City, which is an indoor theme park, all opening by the end of 2008. Maybe Neshaminy should follow this path to update themselves as well.

Neshaminy will be ok. I don't know what can be done with Granite Run Mall, but its in Media where there is affluence. Maybe its run to the ground to protect the not too far King of Prussia. Also, the Hamilton Mall in Atlantic County, has more potential, but just is mediocre, and not an 'it' place. It seems that Sears is hurting some of the malls more than helping, and a lot more needs to be added to the lots to attract attention.

*sigh* the only thing I hate is that the 14 bus is the only way to get to Neshaminy Mall, and there is no express service to there on the weekends, so I'm more inclined to go to Center City and go to the IMAX at the science museum.
Has anybody taken the bus from FTC to Oxford Valley? How long is that trip? As far as shopping goes, I do a lot of it online these days (even when I lived in CC). It seems in general, you don't have to walk one block in this entire region to get sneakers, wigs, cell phones or African hair braiding... but if I want cargo pants or visit an Apple store... then well it's like going on the Hajj. FWIW, the Apple store in Ardmore still kicks the one in Cherry Hill's ass, and it's right next to the Ardmore train station. Another area I like to shop in is "the strip" in Chestnut Hill. Take the R7 or R8 to the end of the line and walk around there on a Saturday afternoon or Friday evening. I love that area. No riff raff to be found, either.
