How about ESSINGTON, PA. As long as you don't mind the airplanes it is a great location if you have a car. Also Only about 4 miles to the R2 Prospect Park Station. But, for a driver, the place is ideal. In minutes you are on 95, 476, 76, 420, 320. Not a great place for students or public transportation, but very convenient for 2 people where one works in the city and the other in the suburbs. Basically my wife drives me to the R2 and then she continues driving up to Newtown Square / Broomall. When I drive to work (near city hall) I can arrive in less than 30 minutes with a coffee stop at WaWa.

This is the only riverfront-ish condos in delaware county. We love it here, but we are relocating for 3 years and we want to rent our 3 BR 2 car garage condo in Essington.

There are 34 units here. Half of them are rented and the other half are owner occupied. There is usually at least one available for rent. Rent is negotiable, but including everything except electric/gas, they go for $1100 to $1300.
