Many Suzies who mess with drugs at good suburban schools typically reform themselves, go onto college and joint the middle upper class spectrum. The same can not be said for MOST inner city drug kids.

Lesser of 2 evils.

Hey, I'm just posting about crime in the burbs...

Sadly, at my 10-year high school reunion there was a poster of 6 people in my class who have passed since graduation. If I'm recalling correctly, 5 deaths were alcohol/drug related. 5 people out of a graduating class of 200 by the age of 28 seems like a lot to me...

But you're right, most of my peers seem to be doing well...

Default tons of police in Wayne Friday night?

I was eating at the Bertucci's in Wayne Friday night around 9pm and about a dozen police cars closed Lancaster Ave, cops were running around (with guns, according to the waitress), etc, for most of the meal. I can't find anything on the news about what this was - anyone here know? Thanks

I agree.

And there are plenty of them in the burbs.

Sounds like nothing but for an area that has had maybe 3 murders in 200 years, it's pretty drastic. This might sound ignorant but i believe it's because of urban sprawl. Due to all these houses being built (which is ridiculous), people are moving in from the city because it's cheap. With that we have kids coming with a city life mindset. Wrong mindset for an area with 8 towns on a mile stretch of road. Drugs have also been horrible. We went from being a town were the kids just smoke weed and get drunk and the cops laugh and tell you to walk home or might tell you parents, to a town that had to spend the majorit of it's money on the police force because people are bringing in coke and heroin from Allentown, Reading, and Philly. It's sad, it really is.
Hah. In case you aren't aware, drugs a very much a suburban problem too. 75% of the Camden drug trade patrons are people from other - mostly middle class and upper middle class - suburbs.

Default Murder in Mt. Laurel, NJ

http://cbs3.com/topstories/local_story_074065017.html

At least they arrested the man who saw it fit to murder a 79-year-old man traveling with his caretaker...so sad.
