I goto temple and it seems impossible to find housing. Temple is already way to over crowded and they use a lottery number system.
Where can I get a nice apartment in a nice part of the city (center city) for about $1500 a month (2 bedroom) |

http://www.leftbankapts.com/floor_plans_2b.htm, just a bit over 1500. You shouldn't have too hard of a time finding places. This is in University City, I know that there are folks on here from the loft district, maybe they can chime in.

I live in the loft ditrict, Packard Bldg to be exact. 2Br's start around 1375 in the Packard. You can catch the Broad St. Line at Vine for $70/mo (plus that will get you around the rest of the city when you are not at school). here are other bldg's behind us but I don;t know there names. There are some apt's on vine St. itself. Your other option is to live off Broad near Srping Garden. I like living in the Packard Bldg is that helps.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best/nicest apartment complexes that are on or right near Temple. Any information on the campus, or surronding areas would be very helpful. Thanks (snip) Short answer- there aren't many nice apartments near Temple. The nicest area may be "Yorktown" a development known for being Mayor Street's neighborhood - just look for the pseudo monster truck parked outside. Temple is at location where train and subway make it possible to commute from many other locations. Hal |

Hi--
I'm so glad I found this site! Maybe someone can give me some advice? I live in Maryland. My daughter's a sophomore at Temple, and they've just kicked all the upperclassmen out of the dorms for next year. She and her roomie want a 2BR apartment and thought they'd found a place, til I checked it out on that rating site--eeew! Her dad and I have priorities: 1. Has to be in a very safe neighborhood--diversity is not a concern--just safety; 2. Has to be easy to get to Temple (up to about 20 minutes by public transportation okay); 3. Has to be in a price range of $800-1,000. We know nothing about Philly neighborhoods and their reputations, what's close to transport, or where there might be large concentrations of apartments. We just need to know where to start, and then the girls can go exploring on their own. Thanks a lot for any suggestions! |
