Hey everyone,
I was wondering where to turn to rid my street of annoying people who park their cars in front of their house on the sidewalk. The parking authority has been down the street, and ticketed those in front of a fire hydrant, but what about the sidewalk. It's dangerous and makes it hard to manuveur in the neighborhood. |

I does happen all the time, I finally got sick of manuveuring around the cars too. I called the local police district and told them of the car that parks EVERYDAY on the sidewalk, they seemed very annoyed that I called and instructed me "if it really bothers you call 911". I'm not calling 911 for a car parked on the sidewalk...

I thought that only happened in Manayunk... (cars parked on the sidewalk), but I guess it is the case in many growing neighborhoods...
What's next- chairs on the sidewalk to "reserve" those illegal parking spots every time we get a dusting of snow?

I might suggest letting the air out of a tire, first. See if that works.

That's what happens when a city tries to reinvent itself as a suburb. Requiring all new houses to have off-street parking just makes things worse in most cases -- at least for the people who don't have off-street parking available.
Parking used to be a breeze in Old Kenzo when I first moved here. It's gotten progressively worse since then.

Well let's see here, yup, it's another hypocrasy!
It snowed, and your walking down the street, and you slip and bust your back on someones pavement. You sue them, and win, because it's THEIR property, and responsabilty to remove snow. It's a nice summer day, and you have parked your car, on the sidealk in front of your house, a passing traffic nazi sees this, and gives you a ticket for obstructing a *public* walkway. :rolling_: Tell me, which one is it? Is it your propery, or the public's?
