Right. I don't know why anyone would assume that couldn't change with a redevelopment of the site.

Ding Ding! Imagine a development like Center Sq (1.8-2.0 million sq with ground fl retail) right across from City Hall, connected to Suburban/15th/City Hall, overlooking the redesigned Dilworth Plaza.

So?

We're talking about how the area could be made better and you want to remind everyone of its current flaws again? Any suggestions or do you just want to keep l-ing your a o ?

Please. This is a liberal Democrat bleeding heart city, and even with that trait, they are abusing the hands that feed them.

What do you want, your withholding to double out of your paycheck so they can live in a Rittenhouse condo?

Reagan got rid of the asylum system that we had which was supporting them and keeping them sheltered. When Byberry closed, they flooded Center City and started defecating everywhere.

They're human, who act like roaches.

Believe me, they are smart people. That's why 1/2 of me supports the casinos because all the bums in Center City will pack up and leave for Delaware Ave when they eventually open for business.

The casinos just don't know it yet, but those parking lots will be like night of the living dead with homeless camping out, weaving in and out of traffic looking for handouts. I can't wait for the casinos... it will clear out 70% of the bums in CC and they'll move down there like packs of wolves who've spotted a fresh kill.

That's a real disgusting way to view another human being.

It's human life we're debating here and you shouldn't humiliate them any further.

How do you feel inside when somebody hurls insults at you because you're a homosexual?

When somebody tries to demean us, we all feel a level of humiliation.
Try to be a better person and have more class and try not to humiliate and shame other people in response.

1- calm down, take it easy
2- not "reminding anyone about current flaws in the city", just pointing someone I found something funny, thats it.
3- Already contributed with my opinion on the matter a few pages ago.
4- Sorry, Im not extremely fluent in english yet, no idea what you tried to say at the end.

That is a relavent point. I was in on a meeting a couple years ago and one of the options for the pedestrian traffic at Broad and Vine when crossing Vine on the Roman Catholic side was do build a pedestrian bridge.

They said it would never happen because any structure built has to be ADA compliant and it wouldn't be feasible (I don't think money was the issue, but the slope of the bridge for wheelchairs to be able to use would be too steep to get to the necessary height for trucks to pass under).

Even though wheel chairs could still use the crosswalk, the law is the law, so no bridge for people (in particular ROman Catholic Students) to cross that busy intersection.

Could very well be the same scenario that would prohibit it at City Hall.

You could build it with ramps on either side since there is plenty of room on the sidewalks to do the necessary slopes etc, but it would be an ugly monstrosity. Plus there are already tunnels going across. Spend the money elsewhere. Just retime the lights to make it easier to cross.
