Exclamation Green La. Bridge - safe?

Besides these defects there are many cracks in the bridge. I doubt if the bridge was designed to handle the weight of the tractor trailers carrying vehicles, and construction equipment. At least it probably wasn't designed to handle this weight without maintenance .

That doesn't look good!

Just out of curiosity, where is this Green Lane bridge? In Green Lane or in the city? Why don't you send those pics to PennDOT?

I'm assuming it's the Green Lane bridge - exit 338 off of 76 that links Manayunk/Roxborough with Bala Cynwyd.

I was on their website and told them about the bridge and I invited them to this blog so they could see the pictures. But I think I did the same thing a year ago.

Default No more trucks

Here's another good reason to get the big trucks off Umbria Street, which they use enroute to the Green Lane Bridge. Now that they can't use Green Lane, they use Umbria to Main St. They cannot easily make the turn onto the bridge and this causes huge headaches, especially in the morning.

It's really time to ban truck traffic on the bridge. It would make the morning commute in Manayunk more manageable and make Umbria street safer.
