My old friends at YIP are holding another of their trademark forums on a topic near and dear to the heart of many a PB policy/urban affairs wonk/nerd. Try to attend - YIP forums are always stimulating, bringing together intriguing panels and generating strong discussion. And afterwards there's always the possibility of drinks!
--- Young Involved Philadelphia Urban Design Forum What's next for our skyline? With a host of major development projects in the works -- including new condos, hotels, and one of the world's largest towers -- planning, development, zoning, and civic design have been hot issues in Philadelphia news. However, there has been much debate over how to improve the quality of the city's planning, development and design. What are the issues facing our neighborhoods and the city, at-large? How do we compare to other major U.S. cities? How can we put Philadelphia on the right track to become a growing, competitive metropolis that values planning, design, and the quality of our built environment?
