Some of you are partially correct, it’s a renovation of a garage. However, the first floor is going to be the new 30th street post office., as Cam112 mentioned. The first Ramp was removed to make a flat street level floor for retail space. The garage is still a garage, but parking for the postal trucks and some fortunate employees. A roof was added to help keep the water out that has plagued that facility for years, and to make it nicer from above for the the new towers. Unfortunately, the final design was really tuned down. Some of the design concepts along the way were much better than the final product.... Some speculate that Peli had some say in the design, although his office had nothing to do with it.
