I don't know... the picture that was posted was sort of underwhelming, however, it noted that these are just test lightings. If, by chance, they give it the same sort of lighting system that Cira has (moving patterns, colors, etc), then I think it will be pretty damn cool. I guess we'll find out when its "officially" unveiled.

Yeah, White is kinda bland, but when has the city skyline been white?

I wanna see it in Pink, and Green and Orange, and Red.

Speaking of patterns, anyone see the red cross on the Cira last week?

Am I the only one who thinks Cira's lighting is horrendous? The LED's aren't 100% horrible, but the visible fluorescents inside just kill any potential the may have had. As for the Comcast, I'd like to see an antidote to its mega-monolithic look- it's just too big and bulky to look right the the rest of the skyline.

The thing that is throwing me off is, are the little bricks LED color changers too?

Cuz that'd be nice...They also remind me of Tetris...

This was the top last night....

Don't know if they are going to keep just that single stripe or make the whole cube a solid color. But I like it as is now.

I was driving back into town on the Schuylkill at 2am last nite after a long drive and I saw it poking its head above the trees.
It was a very welcome site and I thought it looked very good.
At first I said to myself, "please don't tell me that says 'comcast' on the top". luckily it didn't

This building looks very different night v. day.
almost 2-faced.
Ugly by day, attractive by night (IMO of course).

Thanks for the pick Jawnee. No offense, but it doesn't do it justice.

My guess is that they still aren't done working on it.

As usual, phillyskyline.com has the answer:
Quote:
Eric Nelson from Winona Lighting, who produced the LED product that's been installed, explains: "The lighting in the corner spandrel panels and five floors of the 'ice cube' at the top of the building are white only. The very top row of lighting on the building will be color changing." The corners, the cutouts and the crown are all subtly lined with boxes of low-energy LED lights -- 4,100K in color temperature, or a bluish white -- while the top row of the crown has a row of continuous LEDs that are color-programmable, i.e. red for the Phillies, pink for breast cancer awareness month, and so forth. The top row is aimed downward, so as to 'wash' the white crown with color.
They've also got a new photo up today:

It's looking nicer lately, but it still reminds me of this guy:
