Default observation deck

I recently spoke to one of the construction managers about an observation deck. He said that there won't be one. That's a shame!!! I think those who want one should start a campaign to encourage them to build one. It would be such a great tourist attraction. After all, it's extremely likely that they'll feel compelled to offer tours the way they do with every major media center and most other buildings that tall. Any ideas about starting a campaign for an observation deck?

Not likely to happen. You can't even get to the elevators without a security badge, and according to Liberty Property Trust, the only floor with available space is the 21st. So, in order to have an observation deck, you'd have to kick out somebody who already has a lease.

Even if there was space available at the top, it's unlikely they would allow public access simply due to security concerns.

Something weird was going on at the Comcast Center tonight:

Now I couldn't get a good Pic(Going by car down Vine St Expressway is hard to get a good one) but I pointed out the strange color:

Two floors glowing blue... If that is what to expect when the lights come..It is going to be AWESOME!

I'm guessing it's probably going to look really cool at night, once the lights come on, but at this point I am really disappointed with the "clunky" shape of the top in the daytime skyline. Hopefully they will at least clad it in something more reflective or otherwise interesting.

In regard to the blue lighting:

"Construction observations o'er CC way sees a new bright blue light on the north side of the 43rd floor. (You can see it in the Philly Skyline Sunset Skylines from yesterday.) The 43rd floor is an amenities floor, with shops and a cafeteria exclusive to the building's tenants. The blue light you see is decorative lighting for the vendors on that side of the floor. I really hope it's a test and that they conclude that it should be removed. By itself, it's totally obnoxious and detractive from the accent lighting on the corners which, like Cira Centre's when it was first turned on, is hard to discern because the interior lights from some offices overpowers it."

Speaking of that...why are ALL the interior office lights on 24x7? I've gone up on my roof deck at 3-4 in the morning and every light in the place is on. Heck, didn't even know there was accent lighting in the corners until reading the above.

So last Wednesday I heard rumors that Comcast lit up the top of the Comcast Center on the south and west sides.

I say that because I looked and it was dark from 8th and Market, but I could see the halo of light from the other side.

But I got some proof:

yeah, i was hoping for something jazzier than just that. I'm a bit underwhelmed by it, considering that's the tallest building, for now, in Philly. Copying Liberty 1 and 2 with some sort of edge lighting wouldn't have been too good, but they could have done something different.
