It's a bad copy of this gem in London.

Looks Awesome!

And technically, Chicago has already given the world the finger twice.

(John Hancock & Sears) So maybe this is not far from the Phallic joke.

As a side note... while recently in Chi-town... the CAF (chicago architecture foundation) Tours are fantastic. Millennium Park, has revitalized the public spirit of Pride in Beautiful and Usable spaces.

Now, If Trump could just shut up already and leave the town alone.

The boat ride architecture tours are supposed to be fantastic.

Heck of a lot better than the Dam Duck Tours!

The CAF tours, are the most Professional & Educational out of the scads of "Other" tours of Chi-Town. If you go, Avoid... Avoid the Kitschy tour guides dressed as Sailors or Safari folk... they are Just as bad as the Duck Boats.

"Bad copy of" the Gherkin?

Goes the Gherkin one better is more like it, IMO.

It also looks like a drill bit -- not an inapt metaphor for a city known for its brawn and its buildings.

There are a couple of different companies that offer the boat ride architecture tours, and the trick is that you have go through the company that uses architecture students as the tour guides, rather than some random shmoe who gets hired because (s)he was looking for a job. If my memory is correct, the CAF tour that alee mentioned is the one that uses the architecture students.

Zur, are you suggesting that they're jerkin' the Gherkin?

(Sorry, I know that's just plain bad, but with all the phallic jokes, I couldn't resist.)

Plan your Chicago architecture tour -- on land or by boat -- here.

Most tall buildings have dildo-like qualities. That's why people love them so much.
