Maybe the best thing for the mall is to demolish the entire thing. Implode the mall.

I would love to see a carbon copy of The Shops At La Cantera put there. This is an outdoor mall that is VERY nice, out in San Antonio. It has a Neiman Marcus, so this ain't some little pissant strip-center type of establishment.

It's setup in a Spanish-plaza outdoor format, with all the buildings turned inwards towards a central stonescape with unique outdoor water displays and breezeways, the outward part of the buildings is uber-landscaped.

Roosevelt Mall could have the same setup, but the parking could be put into a split-level garage with limited surface parking and a larger underground parking level that encompasses the entire rectangular lot.

I'm thinking a glass tunnel could be placed in the center of a new Roosevelt Mall with a winter garden inside, that allows pedestrians to use the outdoor mall as an indoor mall during inclement weather, and also locate the dining for the mall in that sub-surface level.

If you go to San Antonio, The Shops At La Cantera is located near the intersection of Loop 1604 and Interstate 10.

It will kick your ass. It makes King of Prussia feel like a trailer-trash mall.

My parents go out of their way when they visit the city to shop there once a month.

Yes, San Antonio... the place people think of for Mexican immigrants, farm labor, the Alamo, and rednecks... most of those stereotypes are actually a front they put up for the tourists. It's full of yupsters who drive up the price of everything, just like everywhere else you go where stuff is nice.

And this is why you should donate to PACCA, not PETA:

In September, PETA made headlines in Vermont and across the nation for asking
Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use human breast milk in their ice cream, instead of cow milk
