Maybe it's a 5 pager worth going into?

First of all, "White-Mestizo" is redundant, since "Mestizo" is defined as somebody with both White (European, usually Spanish) and American Indian ancestry. However, Mestizos in Texas are still a different color and have a different culture (and language, usually) from American Whites.

African Americans are also a different color (and, arguably, have a differnt culture) from American Whites. Why is it so different, do you think, for an American White to marry an African American as it is for an American White to marry a Hispanic Mestizo?

Just curious.
