NYC's dominance in finance overshadows the outright depression that majority of the state is in. it is the duty of citizens to engage in revolution every now and again. I believe jefferson penned that thought.
not saying these states are right or will secede, but one could probably effectively argue that they'd be better off without DC. same with PR.
The NorthEast should be ashamed of themselves. Simon represents the NorthEast, and his comments are being circulated across the internet. All the years of poverty and feudalism the NorthEast has inflicted on their fellow brothers and sisters throughout history needs to be atoned for. The hording of Federal Reserve money for themselves while the rest of the country starves needs to be atoned for.

The attack on the civil liberties of the rest of the country, from gun rights, self-defense rights, free speech rights, and freedom of religion rights, by the NorthEast needs to be atoned for. The economic policies of Wall Street, who is now in the tank with Obama and enabled heavily by Bill Clinton, that have devastated their fellow man and woman across the country need to be atoned for. The disrespect shown to their fellow brothers and sisters serving in the military and fighting to preserve the freedoms of the NorthEast need to be atoned for.

The 58, 000 veterans who died in Vietnam in vain as a result of a Massachusetts President and their demoralizing actions and rioting of the 60's needs to be atoned for. The 400, 000 Americans who died in World War 2 to preserve freedom for the NorthEast and the utter disrespect shown to their memory needs to be atoned for. The 600, 000 Americans who died during the War Between The States whose memory is shown complete disrespect needs to be atoned for.

The NorthEast should feel guilty for what they've done to this country. The NorthEast should feel guilty for exploiting Italian labor throughout history. The NorthEast should feel guilty exploiting Latino labor throughout history. The NorthEast should feel guilty for their Vietnam war that slaughtered millions of Asians. The NorthEast should feel guilty for originally treating German immigrants the way they did during colonial days. The NorthEast should feel guilty for the way they treated the Irish.

The NorthEast should feel guilty for this past primary season in which they labeled half of the families who have given their sons and daughters to fight for their freedom as essentially uneducated, white trash. The quotes have been saved, and the documentaries being produced. The NorthEast should feel guilty for treating those who look up to them with the utmost respect and part of the pride of being American as nothing more than worthless.

This election is the perfect opportunity for the NorthEast to show they are sorry for what they've done to the country and the world. This election, more than ever, is the perfect opportunity for the NE to show their guilt and atone for it. Middle Americans are very forgiving people, hopefully the NE will do the right thing this election. A strong message of solidarity in the voting box this general election against Obama and the policies of oppression is everything that could work to start correcting the wrongs inflicted on society and the country by the NE.
