Guitar solos
This song features two guitar solos by David Gilmour, and is a particular favourite with Pink Floyd fans. The final solo (outro, coda, or fade out), is widely revered by fans worldwide as one of Gilmour's best, and is the archetypal rock guitar solo.
There's a couple of live Floyd(post Floyd) DVD's out with unbelievable quality. I highly recommend the Roger Waters "In the Flesh" one (2001)
just for "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" alone. PBS was playing about 1/2 of the show several years ago during one of it's fundraisers. Obviously no Gilmour on it, but Doyle Brahmall II and Andy Fairweather Low can easily make you forget there's no Gilmour here for the close to 3hrs it lasts.
