I wasn't thinking of it so much as them being amateurs as a matter of getting used to new digs (equipment, management(!), staff, demand) that may mean that it will take a while for them work work out the kinks.

And as mentioned below, a few different folks have had their hands in the brewing since the place opened so that may be having an impact.

I've certainly liked most of what I've had there so far, and, all things being equal, would rather drink there than have to get bottles to bring home from someplace else, but there have also been more than a couple times when I've changed my mind about filling the growler after having a taste. And then when something comes out really well, like the barleywine, they won't let you fill a growler with it. :-(

Despite these mild reservations I'm very hopeful about the place and am thrilled to have them in the neighborhood.
