I'll second that one. I really wanted the place across from Mugshots to be a newsstand and book store. It would've been a good fit with Mugshots, which doesn't have much to read and needs more outdoor seating too, so they could've worked out an arrangement between the two places. Instead we got a low-end antiques place that sells mostly flea market-quality stuff.
Speaking of bookstores, I stopped by the Franklin Mills mall on Sunday on the way to my mom's house, and wanted to get a book for her. No dice. I noticed that Franklin Mills has 15 shoe stores and zero book stores. Way to go, NE Philly!
Anyway, yes, if someone would open a Mexican place in Fairmount, pasaré mucho dinero en su restaurante.
