That area is generally considered Port Richmond. $1K rental for a 3 bedroom in a major metropolitan city THAT close to downtown is a good deal--you can search around more when you get here after your lease ends. Honestly, that really DOES sound like a good deal. It's a quiet area over there but close to the grocery store, Hollywood Video, Wawa (cheapest gas in the city), CVS, etc.
