Is the Local Neighborhood Farmer's Market supposed to be a quick in and out - let me get straight to my grub and get the hell out - kind of experience? Why not just go to Acme?
Personally, I love seeing all my neighbors. I love that kids and dogs and friends are gathering there. What are you in such a hurry for?

very good point -- but headhouse is a small space. i agree that one of the nicest things about the farmer's market (aside from the wonderful produce, food & goods sold there) is the sense of community it provides. unfortunately, it's a small space that can get really clogged up.
according to the woman at the food trust table, headhouse is their largest farmer's market -- which is sad, because by most standards, it's really not that big at all. nonetheless, i enjoy it and am grateful for the close proximity to where i live.
