By most standards very few people on the PB would consider that a "good" area. You're right smack between Strawberry Mansion and Allegheny West, neither of which are high on anyone's lists these days. That whole swath has had a very negative reputation for a long time.

I don't know how much you're looking to spend, but there are certainly better options available to you.

BTW, I think the area around Temple is much better. It's sort of the unofficial boundary of the North Broad renaissance, so there's a lot of redevelopment going on.
It'll be a little while before you see it go as far north as Lehigh Ave.
