That's my neighborhood.
I always say that every neighorhood has it's up and downs. 23rd and Lehigh in particular wouldn't be as bad as the area around Temple or even the Strawberry Mansion area. It has it areas of drug dealing and the occassional murder, but alot of the corners have been indicted in the area, so it's no where near as bad as it was in the 90's. Like most places, if you keep to yourself and go about your business, you'll be just fine.
I will say that their is a gang calld "Bloodlines" that are up the street from where your talking about moving, but they generally don't mess with adults.
Did you know Jill Scott is from the area?
