Obnoxious I agree on, WE SHOULD BE LOUD!!! WE ARE FANS!!!

Can't disagree too much here.

Speak for yourself. We Flyers fans won an award from NHL for most aggressive and passionate hockey fans and I am proud of that.
I've sat everywhere at fenway from the monster seats, to dead center field, to field seats along first. yes you have drunks that act up. but overall i've seen worse at a non important phillies vs. marlins, or phils-national's games, then at a yankee redsox series in either NY or boston.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not by any means defending mets fans, (i'm on your side) just pointing out that rude and hostile people ruin it for everyone sitting around them within ear shot or beer shot for that matter. you can heckle all you want @ the players, when that turns around to other fans that's when I have a problem. I don't want my kid getting knocked down concrete steps, because some drunken yahoo takes a swing at someone and misses.

i think a lot of this has to do with money, the more expensive the seats the less likely for trouble makers to show up. most of the worst of philly events involved the cheap seats at the vet.
