I don't think it's a good idea, though I don't know if it's much worse of an idea than sending everyone a $600 check. Maybe a little, because it disproportionately benefits people who made predictably poor decisions, like using a Yukon or Armada to drive one person to work.

I disagree with stopping adding to the strategic petroleum reserve.
