Although your post is satirical, I wonder how far from the truth it actually is. They wish to regulate any change to the facade, and as wacky as these %&#$ are, I wouldn't be surprised if the day came when they began questioning any new vent that protrudes from the facade. A three month process involving the planning commission to get a new dryer vent-I can see it already.
