You haven't had the benefit of working with Michael for years; unfortunately for you you have been stuck with Donna Reed Miller in an area where people are too disorganized to get rid of an obvious hack. Trust me; he's that good, and funny too. He is better than Rendell, as he is self-effacing and principled, as well as creative and clever. He is not hype - he is for real, and you have only seen the beginning (and just barely that). As far as the Governor, he is one of the most powerful governors we have seen in a long time, and this stuff is right up his alley. He has the people behind him; they trust his judgment, and he generally gets what he wants. Note the dedicated funding for transit, for instance.
