I'm of two minds vis-a-vis the ducks. On the one hand, I understand they're part of the tourist industry, and Philly needs tourist dollars like any other city.
On the other hand, I do get incredibly annoyed when I'm sitting outside reading the paper or drinking coffee on South Street, and a huge duck-mobile stops right in front of me blasting music while 8 year olds quack their stupid whistles.
I don't think your protest will amount to much. They're not going away. Your better strategy might be to persuade the operators to turn down the music and not hand out quack whistles. They may actually respond to this. You may even get businesses on board if you take that approach.
