heres a simple arithmetic problem...
ads = money
septa needs money. therefore, septa should sell ad space.
also, if advertisers are responsible for keeping stations clean and safe, that's less money septa's spending, leaving more for things like fare modernization and capital improvements. +, if the stations aren't properly cleaned and patrolled, patrons should have the right to sue the ad companies, and septa to cancel their contracts (without owing them fees). septa's only responsibility would be to make sure that all their bus and trolley stops are clearly identified as such.
