Default Queen Alesis

Well excuse me Ms. Queen Alesis, mam goddess herself.

Seriously what made you pope of South Street, or Philadelphia for that matter. Remember this is a blog with different ideas, opinions and rationale. You have the complete right to disagree with not only myself but with everyone else here.

As you already know about me, I will admit when you make a good point and perhaps correct my feelings. ie- I really mis spoke when I mentioned G-Town. I was merely comparing the two not saying that South Street should become G-Town.

I too enjoy the mixture of cultures and variety of shops that are on South Street. By no means am I saying we should do away with Record shops, thrift shops, Tattoo parlors or any of the great sandwich shops. I am basically saying, that we can CLEAN it up a bit, make it more attractive in order to really capitalize on the tourists that we are lacking.

Using Facts- Philadelphia is one of the least traveled major city in the Country. -Travel and Leisure Magazine.

We spend very little when compared to NY, AC, DC, LA, Chicago, etc... on marketing our city.

One of the highlights of a tourist is there visit to South Street, I believe that we can make this visit more desirable, that is all.

A new Street, with new curbs, new Trees and landscaping as well as new Lighting would do a tremendous job to lift the economy of South Street and I have no doubt that if you disagree with this you are the one missing facts. Of course a minor inconvenience for this year, but in the long run a MUCH NEEDED FACE LIFT.

Good day all-
