I was a Chaucer's regular what seems like a lifetime ago and used to go a few times a year more recently. About a year ago (possibly more) the owner died. The business was sold and I know there were complaints about the food after that. I suspect that's the "managment issues" you heard about. I wonder if some of the long-time bartenders left after the ownership change...
