The Special Victims Unit is working on a pattern of incidents that appear to have been committed by the same offender. In each incident the complaint(s) were approached by the subject on foot. The offender surprises the victims or confronts them suddenly with a handgun; first demanding money and then sexually assaulting them by fondling them.

The suspect is similarly described by each victim in the following terms: a black male, wide spaced/deep set eyes, light to medium complexioned, 5’8" to 5’10", middle aged, average to thin build and wearing a dark colored jacket (possibly ¾ length) or coat and skull cap. He may possibly have a slight salt/pepper beard. He is reportedly armed with a black handgun.

21 year-old female encounters offender while walking. Subject asks directions, walks ahead of victim, turns and points handgun at her demanding money. Subject then pulls victim to secluded area where he searches and fondles her.
