I used to work there, not in the inside museum but in an 18th century styled restaurant in the village. My brother and my mom both worked there as well. We used to go there all the time. I loved the museum as a child. I thought the cars were interesting, the display that had four kitchens of different eras, showing the progression, all the neat chairs, the trains, etc. The village is just an open space with a bunch of historic buildings - Edison's laboratory was moved there, there's a small farm there using (not sure which century) old farming techniques - lots of fun stuff. It's a great place for kids. You can go up to and sometimes inside of the things on display, really interacting with it.
Anyway - not that anyone asked. The post just made me smile.
