I guess SOSNA isn't the only neighborhood entity that gets meeting notices out at the last possible moment. I found one from the 30th Ward Democratic Committee in my mail slot when I got home today.

David Grande and Karen Mudd have organized a meeting for tomorrow night at 7:00 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2040 Christian Street. Guests include 17th District Captain Kevin Bethel: DA Lynn Abraham; elected officials Anthony Williams and Harold James. "Town Watch Representatives" are also listed as speakers.

I don't know whether this is supposed to be targeted to residents in Karen Mudd's and David Grande's divisions (I have no clue who David Grande is, but I know that Karen is one of my committee people), but I'm sure they wouldn't turn away folks from other divisions.

I'm tied up on elder care much of tomorrow but will scamper across the street if I'm home in time.

EDIT: I posted this on southwest_center_city as well; David Grande e-mailed me offlist to remind me that he is one of the nearby residents working on the 22nd and Montrose garden issue. A resident of the 2000 block of St. Albans, he is also filling in for the committee person in that division who moved out.
